All property owners have the right to appeal if they do not agree with the county's assessment of the value of their property for county, municipal and school tax purposes. Davison & McCarthy represents owners of residential, commercial and industrial real estate in the Commonwealth in connection with the appeal of real estate tax assessments. We oversee the preparation of all necessary paperwork to commence the appeal, including obtaining appraisals and the services of expert witnesses. We participate in the process beginning with interactions with property appraisers, appearances before local assessment boards, and continuing, if necessary, with appeals to the county Courts of Common Pleas and Pennsylvania's Commonwealth and Supreme Courts.
